Built with intent. How our founder shaped the way WOO works.

Eight years ago, WOO's first office was a small space tucked behind a bike shop on Lygon Street in Brunswick East. No signage, no team, no certainty about what it would become. Just a founder with a clear vision and enough conviction to start.

That founder is Travis Atkins. And while WOO has grown into a studio with two locations, a multidisciplinary team, and clients across local and global markets, the values it was built on haven’t changed.

Trav is, among other things, a competitive Ironman triathlete. He’s raced in over 20 full Ironman triathlons and has competed at the Kona World Championships five times, one of the most gruelling Ironman events in the world set amongst the lava fields of Hawaii. He trains two to three times a day and understands that results follow process and that consistency compounds.

That thinking is embedded in how WOO operates.

The patience to start with immersion before strategy. The discipline to stay in the creative phase until the solution is genuinely right. The willingness to review every project honestly, even when things went well. These aren’t values that were designed for an agency pitch. They came from Trav’s real story.

When we asked Trav what he’d be doing if WOO hadn’t existed, he didn’t hesitate. Competing professionally or building something else. This distinct drive isn’t specific to WOO; it is a part of who he is.

WOO today, its dual offices, its integrated model of design, technology, and AI, its ambition to help brands lead change is a direct reflection of the person who started it. A business built with intent, drive and passion to guide our partners through change focused on thinking, design and intelligent systems.
